For any enquiries please feel free to contact me: Oephebia
Please note: I am not available to track missing animals.
My name is Oephebia, I was born many moons ago in Paris (France). Since early childhood, I always have been an animal lover.
When I was a teenager, Pinky the Schnauzer came to live with us (my family). He was such a character and I always communicated with him (although I did not know at the time I was communicating, it just occurred naturally).
When he was put to sleep (old age), he came to say goodbye in my head, at the exact time of this departure, despite me being in England and him in France!
As the years passed by, I had a few animals like a cute little mouse, a dwarf rabbit, a cat, a pair of lovebirds, a pair of parakeets and the love of my life; a Blue Fronted Amazonian parrot named Coco which now lives happily in a parrot sanctuary with a colony of Amazons like him. He even has a girlfriend!
After Coco went to the sanctuary, I decided to train as an animal communicator. During my training I realised that during all these years I just communicated naturally with my animals, the only thing is I did not know that this wonderful way of being with animals was called animal communication. Everything fell into place during the training.
Since 2003, I lived with an African Pygmy Hedgehog called Zoë. Sadly, this beautiful soul had to be put to sleep in November 2008.
I am a fully qualified professional Animal communicator (ACT2).
As a trained and qualified animal healer (MHAO), I am very aware of the energies surrounding every living creature and plant. I work on an intuitive level and use different techniques such as chakra balancing, compassionate release and spiritual healing to help an animal to balance their energies between the mind, body and spirit.
I am also a qualified Bach Foundation Registered Animal Practitioner (BFRAP). I do believe that veterinary care combined with natural remedies can work wonders on animals (as I have seen so many times).
My aim is to help animals (pets and wild) and their people to understand each other better, to respect each other and above all to give all creatures the love and understanding they deserve.
As I have a particular interest in parrots, I support two charities in the UK dedicated to the rescue and welfare of unwanted and neglected parrots: NPLR (New Life Parrot Rescue) here in England and the Island Parrot Sanctuary in Scotland.
Both Julie (UK) and Yvonne (Scotland) are working tirelessly to promote, educate people about companion birds and of course to help the parrots.
My passion for animals is not exclusive to our pets though, all animals are included. I have been privileged to work with the Turgwe Hippo Trust in Zimbabwe and managed to successfully communicate with a wild hippo.
Karen and Jean Roger are doing an extraordinary job of conservation and preservation of one of Africa’s most formidable animals: the hippo. If you feel motivated, you can help the trust by adopting a hippo; what a wonderful way to help such magnificent creatures.
Another organisation which is doing a fantastic job with animal welfare is the Great Animal Rescue Chase. Laura its founder, is doing a wonderful job to raise awareness to the plight of animals all around the world, and to raise money for good causes too.
I have been working with different organisations as a healer on a voluntary basis including the RSPCA (South Godstone and Patcham) and the Celia Hammond Trust in Hastings.
Whilst I was in Hastings on a healing mission, the sanctuary had just rescued fifty-two (52) Persian cats from a single house a few days earlier. As a result, I have adopted two male Persian cats called Karloff and Lugosi, it was meant to be!
